This is a vinyl LP pressing of The Manticore Tapes by Motörhead. In 1976, a year after the band’s formation, the classic lineup—Lemmy (bass/vocals), “Fast” Eddie Clarke (guitar), and Phil “Philthy Animal” Taylor (drums)—came together, marking the start of Motörhead’s legendary “three amigos” era. That August, the band set up at Emerson, Lake & Palmer’s iconic Manticore Studio in Fulham to rehearse and showcase their new lineup. Now, nearly five decades later, the long-lost recordings from that session have been discovered, restored, and released in all their raw glory to celebrate the band’s 50th anniversary.
