Face Value (Boxed Set) - Phil Collins (Vinyl) (AE)

This is a boxed set vinyl LP pressing of Face Value by Phil Collins. Originally released in 1981, Face Value transformed Collins from the drummer of Genesis into a global solo star. An intensely personal album inspired by his experiences surrounding his first divorce, it blends soul, art-pop, and R&B with raw emotion and experimental production. Featuring the iconic hit “In the Air Tonight,” renowned for its groundbreaking gated-reverb drum sound, alongside “I Missed Again” and an experimental cover of The Beatles' “Tomorrow Never Knows,” the album remains a landmark of 1980s music. This boxed set offers an expanded look at the album, featuring a brand-new interview with Phil Collins, rare stripped-back performances of “In the Air Tonight” and “The Roof Is Leaking,” previously unreleased live recordings, an unreleased outtake of “Tomorrow Never Knows,” and the previously unreleased full version of “Over the Rainbow”—making it a must-have collector's edition celebrating a defining moment in Collins' solo career.
