About This Product

The Seymour Duncan ’78 Model Humbucker recreates the legendary late-70s hot-rodded P.A.F. tone inspired by Seymour Duncan’s custom rewind work for Eddie Van Halen. Featuring an Alnico 2 magnet and vintage-style hot wind output, it delivers warm rhythm crunch, rich harmonics, biting lead tones, and articulate tapped-note response with classic hard rock character. Perfect for expressive solos, aggressive rhythm playing, and dynamic harmonics, the ’78 Model blends vintage warmth with the energetic edge of early high-performance rock tones.
