This is a blue vinyl LP pressing of Plays W.C. Handy by Louis Armstrong. W.C. Handy remains among the most influential of American songwriters. credited with giving the blues its contemporary form. While Handy was not the first to publish music in the genre, he transformed the blues from a regional style into a dominant national force. Louis Armstrong's tribute to Handy's songbook was recorded in 1954 while the composer was still alive.
