A celebrated American singer and actress, London was renowned for her sultry contralto voice and elegant torch songs, recording over thirty albums of pop and jazz standards between 1955 and 1969. Her timeless rendition of “Cry Me a River,” first featured on her debut album Julie Is Her Name, was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2001. Alongside her musical achievements, London also gained acclaim for her acting, earning a Golden Globe nomination in 1974 for her role as Nurse Dixie McCall in the television series Emergency!. This special edition release highlights three of her most beloved albums and honors her legacy as one of the most iconic vocalists of her era.
