This is a vinyl LP pressing of Jazz Goes To College by The Dave Brubeck Quartet. In the spring of 1954, jazz legend Dave Brubeck toured North American college campuses with his quartet, which included Paul Desmond (alto sax), Bob Bates (bass), and Joe Dodge (drums). Their support of Brubeck’s artistry produced what many consider some of the most memorable music in his career. The album showcases the quartet’s striking energy and finesse, and it played a significant role in introducing jazz to a new generation of college students in the 1950s and early 1960s.
