About This Product

This is a vinyl LP pressing of Limited Edition Chet Baker in New York. Recorded in December 1958, this album features Chet Baker performing with an exceptional lineup of East Coast musicians, including Philly Joe Jones on drums, Al Haig on piano, Paul Chambers on bass, and tenor saxophonist Johnny Griffin on three tracks. Notably, Baker does not sing on any of the tracks. The track "Soft Winds," originally intended for a compilation LP titled New Blue Horns, was recorded during the same session but was not initially included on the Chet Baker in New York LP. It has now been added to complete the original session.
