This is a red vinyl LP pressing of Giant Steps by John Coltrane. At the time of this recording, Coltrane was still a member of the Miles Davis group, which would soon release the iconic Kind of Blue. The 1960 album earned a five-star rating in Down Beat magazine, with renowned critic Ralph J. Gleason stating, “There are times here when Coltrane is remarkably soft, lyrical, and just plain pretty. You can tag this LP as one of the important ones.”
