Fleetwood Macs Greatest Hits - Fleetwood Mac (Vinyl) (AE)

(Incl. Taxes)
This is a vinyl LP pressing of Fleetwood Mac's Greatest Hits by Fleetwood Mac. The band, initially named Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, was formed in 1967 after guitarist Peter Green (1946-2020) left John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, bringing the rhythm section of Mick Fleetwood and John McVie with him. Green named the new outfit after Fleetwood and McVie to ensure the band's identity would last beyond his eventual departure. Bolstered by Jeremy Spencer and Danny Kirwan, the group initially made their mark on the Blue Horizon label with their accomplished take on the blues before branching out to produce consummate and hugely successful rock songs and instrumentals. Although Green led the band for less than three years, leaving in May 1970, the band produced some of the finest music of the era, as documented on this superb collection first issued in 1971, including certified classics like "Albatross," "Black Magic Woman," "Oh Well," and the heartbreakingly beautiful "Man of the World".
