This is a vinyl LP pressing of Bloodless, the third album by Samia, in which she seeks comfort in absence and explores the idea that shadows can loom larger than their source. Samia draws inspiration from inexplicable mysteries—including the impossibility of femininity and the presence of God—to examine how she inadvertently conflated men with her own sense of self-worth and became a fragmented persona to meet a patchwork of imagined expectations. Written and produced in both North Carolina and Minneapolis, this highly-anticipated follow-up to her 2023 album Honey reunites her with collaborators Caleb Wright and Jake Luppen, delivering thirteen songs that shift seamlessly from sparse folk to sweeping indie-pop epics as Samia grapples with the hollow vessel she once embodied to ultimately reach a place of acceptance for her whole, imperfect being.
