This is a limited 2016 MOV reissue vinyl LP pressing of To What'd I Say by Ray Charles. The American rhythm-blues pianist and singer-songwriter originally released his album on October 19, 1959, via Atlantic Records. Produced by Ahmet Ertegün, and Jerry Wexler, What'd I Say compiled a range of Charles' material, including his first top 10 hit, the title track "What'd I Say". The album became his first gold record and is included in Robert Christgau's "Basic Record Library" of 1950s and 1960s recordings, published in Christgau's Record Guide: Rock Albums of the Seventies (1981).
