Born in Alabama and named after Waxahatchee Creek near her childhood home, Crutchfield has spent over a decade honing her craft. Across six critically acclaimed albums, her sound has evolved from lo-fi folk to lush, alt-country, while her voice remains unwavering—honest, poetic, and Southern-tinged. On Tigers Blood, Crutchfield, now sober and settled in Kansas City, showcases her most powerful songwriting to date, offering a raw and authentic reflection on personal revelations.
