About This Product

This is a vinyl LP pressing of The Grateful Dead by The Grateful Dead. However, the description provided refers to Workingman’s Dead, the band’s fourth studio album, recorded in February 1970 and originally released on June 14, 1970. Alongside its follow-up American Beauty, the album was recorded back-to-back and marked a shift away from the band’s earlier psychedelic experimentation toward a more stripped-back, Americana-influenced songwriting style led by Jerry Garcia and Robert Hunter.
