This is a vinyl LP pressing of The Dark Side of the Moon (2016 EU Reissue) by Pink Floyd. The English rock band originally released their eighth studio album on March 1, 1973, via Harvest Records. Produced by the band members, the record builds on ideas explored in Pink Floyd's earlier recordings and performances, while omitting the extended instrumentals that characterised the band's earlier work. The Dark Side of the Moon brought Pink Floyd international fame, wealth and plaudits to all four band members. The album was certified 14 times platinum in the United Kingdom and topped the US Billboard Top LPs & Tape chart, where it has charted for 980 weeks. In 2012, it was selected for preservation in the US National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress as "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
