About This Product

This is a limited edition blue vinyl LP pressing of Soultrane by John Coltrane. A superb quartet album featuring Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers, and drummer Art Taylor, it was recorded between the two Miles Davis Sextet sessions that produced the album Milestones. Highlights include a lengthy rendition of Tadd Dameron's "Good Bait" and Coltrane's earliest, arguably best, version of Billy Eckstine's ballad "I Want to Talk About You," which became a favorite in the saxophonist's live repertoire.
