The title "NOTAM" is an abbreviation for "NOtice To AirMen," an aviation term. The developer's meaning is "the wind gives us a flight permit for our flight. In this game, players operate a balloon to clear conditions in two modes, "Round" and "Tritask." The game was a hit because of its highly realistic balloon operation and the worldview of three stages where the weather and time can be set. One of the reasons why the game is still talked about by fans is its soundtrack.
