About This Product
This is a vinyl LP pressing of "Newport 1958" by The Dave Brubeck Quartet. Recorded live at the Newport Jazz Festival in Rhode Island on July 3, 1958, this release serves as a tribute to Duke Ellington, with each band playing a set primarily drawn from Ellington's repertoire. Highlights include the inspired choice of "Jump for Joy," which creates some of the most magical moments, and "Perdido," which provides an extended workout for Desmond and Brubeck.
