About This Product

This is a vinyl LP pressing of Mulligan Meets Monk by Thelonious Monk. The American jazz pianist originally released his studio album in 1957, through Riverside Records. Produced by Orrin Keepnews, the album was joined by baritone saxophonist Gerry Mulligan with bassist Wilbur Ware and drummer Shadow Wilson. In 1993, he was awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2006, he was awarded a special Pulitzer Prize for "a body of the distinguished and innovative musical composition that has had a significant and enduring impact on the evolution of jazz"
