The Helix Bowl is a wonderful new instrument from MEINL, offering musicians something unique to add to their setup with construction consisting of a steel helix that has been welded to a resonating chamber for clear and articulate sound. You can either strike or stroke the special steel alloy as it is played off the body in the manner of a beriumbau, producing a deep resonating wah-wah effect that is part of a wide sound spectrum. Optional dampening is also possible with just a touch of a finger. This model includes a metal beater and comes in a Black Nickel finish.
