About This Product

This is a CD pressing of Greatest Hits by Guns N’ Roses. Originally released on March 23, 2004, Greatest Hits is a compilation album issued by Geffen Records, partly due to delays surrounding the production of Chinese Democracy. The album was subject to lawsuits by band member Axl Rose and former members in an attempt to block its release over disputes regarding the track listing. Despite receiving almost no promotion, it reached number one on the UK Albums Chart and number three on the Billboard 200 upon release. In March 2012, the album re-entered the Billboard 200 at number three, selling about 85,000 copies as part of a one-day promotion by Amazon MP3 and Google Play that offered it for 25 cents. As of 2012, Greatest Hits has sold over 5.2 million copies in the United States, remaining a strong commercial success.
