About This Product

This is a vinyl LP pressing of Giblet Gravy (EU Press) by George Benson. The American jazz fusion composer and guitarist originally released her fourth album in 19968, via Verve Records. Produced by Esmond Edwards, the album was recorded at A&R Recording Studios and Capitol Recording Studios, New York City. Giblet Gravy features Benson accompanied by an impressive ensemble arranged and conducted by Tom McIntosh, which includes notable jazz musicians such as Ernie Royal, Pepper Adams, Johnny Pacheco, Billy Cobham, Ron Carter, and Herbie Hancock.

A former child prodigy, Benson first came to prominence in the 1960s, playing soul jazz and then launched a successful solo career, alternating between jazz, pop, R&B singing, and scat singing. Benson has won ten Grammy Awards and has been honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
