About This Product
Designed for the legendary Steve Vai, the Gravity Storm neck pickup has taken the musician's sound well and truly beyond expectations. Named for one of his many songs, the pickup is able to deliver very specific frequency responses that are distinctive and unique, sporting a flavour which is sweet and warm, and a texture which opens up any sound with sharp edges. Unlike many neck humbuckers, the Gravity Storm is exceptional at helping reproduce pick harmonics, especially ones leaning on the warmer side, lending a throaty quality that sounds like a cross between a humbucker and a single-coil.
