DiMarzio's Air Norton began life as a bridge humbucker for high-gain amps, but players soon found it to be a cool neck pickup as well. At the bridge, it's hot but with restraint while in the neck slot, the Air Norton is deep and warm, but not muddy, and it has excellent harmonics. The magnetic structure is designed to reduce string-pull, which results in improved sustain, and picking attack and dynamics are easily controlled and highly expressive.
