The Cort Gold is designed with a total focus on sound, and Cort maintains it is the best acoustic guitar that they have ever built. It is the culmination of many meticulous details and superior craftsmanship, resulting in a superior tone that you will hear on the very first strum. The main source of this tone is the torrefaction process (Cort call it Aged-to-Vintage) used on the Master Grade Sitka Spruce top. The wood is artificially aged to give it the tonal properties of a vintage instrument.

The top is paired with solid mahogany back and sides and the DoubleLock neck joint joins the body to the walnut reinforced mahogany neck, via a tight dovetail joint reinforced with a bolt for maximum transfer of tone and enhanced resonance. The sonically enhanced UV finish is strong and resistant to scratches while being lightweight to improve the natural acoustic resonance. The Gold also comes stage ready with the innovative Fishman Flex Blend System, which offers a wide range of sonic control along with a built-in tuner. Volume, Tone, Phase, Blend and Tuner functions are all available from three knobs and the tuner display.
