Built around a resonant basswood body and a fast maple/bubinga neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard, it delivers smooth playability and signature Satriani tone. A powerful DiMarzio Satchur8 bridge humbucker, Edge double-locking tremolo with Ultralite arm, and Gotoh tuners ensure precision, stability, and expressive control. Its standout feature is the Sustainiac driver neck pickup—the first on an Ibanez production model—offering infinite sustain and harmonic control via dedicated push-pull and toggle switches, plus an additional volume push-pull for a high-pass filter, making the JS2480 a bold, performance-driven instrument built for soaring leads and creative expression.
