This is a vinyl LP pressing of Pop (EU 2018 Reissue) by U2. The Irish Grammy-winner rock band originally released their ninth studio album on March 3, 1997, via Island Records. Produced by Flood, Howie B, and Steve Osborne, The album was a continuation of the band's 1990s musical reinvention, as they incorporated alternative rock, techno, dance, and electronic influences into their sound. Pop employed a variety of production techniques that were relatively new to U2, including sampling, loops, programmed drum machines, and sequencing. Pop was initially a commercial success, debuting at number one in 27 countries, including the UK and the US. In its first week of sale, the record sold 349,000 copies in the US.
