This is a 2016 reissue vinyl LP pressing of Last Recording by Billie Holiday. The American jazz and swing music singer originally released her final album in July 1959 through MGM Records. The album was completed on March 11, 1959. Four days later, Billie Holiday's lifelong friend and music partner Lester Young died on March 15, 1959. She would die four months later on July 17, 1959, at the age of 44. During her career, she won four Grammy Awards, all of them posthumously, for Best Historical Album. She was also inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and the National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame.
