In the 1990s, Japanese jazz gradually attracted attention from enthusiasts, and around 2005, the term "Japanese jazz" was coined and Japanese jazz became a bit of a boom. 2009 saw the release of "Japanese Jazz Disc Guide (Koki Hanawa + Yusuke Ogawa)," which became a major movement, and the year 2023 marked the transition from the Heisei era to the 2023 era, when Japanese jazz music was becoming more and more popular. Nearly 30 years have passed since the wave of reevaluation, and Japanese jazz has fully established itself as one of the subdivided musical genres.
