K.G. - King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard (Vinyl)

This is a vinyl LP pressing of K.G. by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizzard. The Australian psychedelic rock band released their sixteenth studio album on 20 November 2020 via their own label. The album was preceded by four singles, the first three ("Honey", "Some of Us" and "Straws in the Wind") were released alongside music videos uploaded to YouTube. K.G. is a sonic "sequel" to Flying Microtonal Banana, which was subtitled "Explorations into Microtonal Tuning, Volume 1" and also a prequel to their upcoming album (L.W.). In the wake of a global pandemic, it's a collection of songs composed and recorded remotely after the six members of the band retreated to their own homes scattered around Melbourne. K.G. is a pure distillation of the King Gizzard sound, one that cherry-picks the best aspects of previous albums and contorts them into new shapes via defiantly non-western rock scales.
